In a meeting with the Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi today, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Shri GVL Narasimha Rao highlighted the urgent need to improve the CGHS infrastructure and facilities in Visakhapatnam.
Stating that the present two CGHS wellness centers in Visakhapatnam are very basic and both the buildings and infrastructure need upgradation, MP GVL asked for immediate action for improved infrastructure. In this regard, he sought early budget sanction for purchasing cents of land offered by the state government for the construction of a CGHS building in Visakhapatnam.
MP GVL Narasimha Rao also reiterated his request to the Minister for the establishment of at least one more wellness center in Visakhapatnam, preferably in Gajuwaka industrial area.
MP GVL Narasimha Rao also wondered why a separate State CGHS State Headquarters has not been established in Andhra Pradesh even after the bifurcation of the state and urged immediate establishment of Office of Additional Director, CGHS in Visakhapatnam.
In this regard, MP GVL also reminded the Union Minister that he had raised these issues in Rajya Sabha by making a Special Mention in Rajya Sabha on December 21, 2022.
Seeking urgent response from the Ministry, MP GVL observed that the Central government employees in Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh are looking towards early resolution of these pending issues.
