Lucknow 10 July : : To emphasize the importance of essential qualities such as human values, ethics and soft skills in personal and professional development Amity School of Languages, Amity University Lucknow, inaugurated a 30-hour workshop on “Value Addition: Life Skills, Ethics & Human Values” today.
The inaugural program commenced with an enchanting classical song and dance performance by the students of Amity School of Languages.
Chief Guest Dr. Anand Prakash Maheshwari (IPS), Deputy Pro VC Amity University Lucknow Campus Wing Commander Dr. Anil Kumar Tiwari and Director Amity School of Languages Prof Kumkum Ray inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp.
Welcoming the participants and Guests Prof Kumkum Ray said that today it is sad to see that we have to teach Human values and ethics to our young generation, she said that giving to others is the root of happiness and we will discuss these life skills in this workshop.
Addressing at the inaugural session Deputy Pro VC Wing Commander Dr. Anil Kumar Tiwari said that Talking on this topic is needed because today Humanity is going on different way. We are living in two different worlds Virtual and real and transition between these worlds raise issues which are must to be addressed. He said that as Artificial Intelligence is developing maximum in a decade, we will see Super AI which will be more capable than Humans. At that point of time these Human Values and Ethics will keep us on the driving seat.
Chief Guest Dr. Anand Prakash Maheshwari emphasized using the knowledge which we have got from our ancestors. He said that you cannot control the result, but you can ensure the direction of working, Intention of work and Performance. He said that never believe in short cuts, always remember that for a 20 second of excellent performance there is a preparation of 12 years. He said that everyone has the huge capacity to perform, you just need passion for the performance. He also taught a lesson on professionalism that one should serve equally with everyone and one’s level of service must remain the same for everyone irrespective of the position they hold in society.
More than 100 students are participating in this workshop. On this occasion All the Students and Faculty ware present. The workshop will end on 14th July.
