Lucknow ,20 April : :; Ready to step into the world of fashion, the students of the final session of Amity School of Fashion Technology took stock of their potential and preparations before stepping into the professional world.
Today Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University Lucknow, organised a Fashion-show ‘Graduation Design Collection-2023’ which was based on the outfits designed by the final semester students of Fashion Technology.
Wing Commander Dr. Anil Kumar, Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor Amity University Lucknow Campus, Dr. Manju Agarwal, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Rajesh Tiwari, Dean Academics, and Professor Pooja Verma, Director Amity School of Fashion Technology were present at the event. Parents of final year students also attended the program as invited guests.
“Graduation Design Collection is a program that provides an opportunity to the graduating students of Amity School of Fashion Technology to present themselves and gain confidence in their skills as future fashion designers stepping into the world of fashion. Through this, students are given the opportunity to produce original and creative clothing for the show, with the opportunity to test themselves on stage.
For the show, the students designed a set of four to five costumes with different themes with deep study and creative thinking. For Graduation Design Collection-2023, young designers designed garments according to consumer needs and fashion trends from market survey to gauge market needs and possibilities. They carefully selects the colors, patterns, fabrics and all the necessary aspects including its theme to create garments based on the designs.
The costumes prepared by the students were displayed by the models in the ramp walk organized today. The choreography of this fashion show was done by Sameer Srivastava.
For today’s show the students presented some very interesting theme-based presentations like The Ocean Night, Regal, Bhram, Masakali, Motherhood, Gothic, Jyotish Chakra, Hidden Essence, Padharo Mhare Desh, Flamingo etc.
A team of jury members comprising eminent names from the fashion industry, Ms Rakhi Gupta, Fashion Designer from Abu Dhabi, Ms Varsha Srivastava, National awardee for Paper Jewellery, Ms Nimisha, Fashion Designer from Prayag Raj and Mr Pawanesh Shrivastava, Alumni 2019 pursuing Master’s from University of London were present at the event.
To encourage these young designers, many Awards were also given in which Aanchal Chaturvedi and Muskan Rastogi for Local to Global Appeal Award, Shival Kesarwani for Best Construction, Pragati Saxena and Sonali Vishwakarma in Most Innovative Concept category Jahnavi Vishkarma for Best Portfolio, Rashi Arya for Collection 2023 Award, Ms. Nivedita Singh for Most Sustainable Collection and Nishtha Sohne for Best Photoshoot Award were selected.
While most Innovative Concept Award was given to Pragati Saxena and Ms. Sonali Vishwakarma and Best Surface Ornamentation Award goes to Pooja Yadav.
On this occasion, Director of Amity School of Fashion Technology Pooja Verma and heads of various departments, teachers and a large number of students were present.
