12 march 2025: : Assam Rifles and Manipur Police in a joint operation successfully recovered weapons and other war like stores from General Area Kotzim village, approximately 9 KM North of Kotlen village on 12 Mar 2025. The recovered items include two 5.56mm Insas Rifles with 02 magazines, one .22mm Rifle with magazine, two short range projectile launchers with six bombs, which were handed over to the police for further investigation.
Over the past few months, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police have been actively involved in operations to recover weapons linked with insurgent groups in Manipur. The recovery of weapons is a significant step towards achieveing lasting peace and stability in the region as well as in respective areas of responsibility. Assam Rifles is committed to dismantle the illicit arms networks as well as engaging with local communities to surrender illegally held weapons.
