Unnati Community Service Club of Amity organized panel discussion on the Role of Youth in Social Change ***

Lucknow ,12 April : : A social initiative of Amity University Lucknow Campus, Unnati Community Service Club organised a panel discussion on ‘Role of Youth in Social Change’ today. This programme was organized under Dean Student Walfare office and with collaboration of NGO, Bal Raksha Bharat.
Ms. Anita Agarwal, Member UP State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Dr. Ramchandran, Deputy Director Basic Education, Puneet Mishra, Deputy Director WCD, Jafar Khan, Deputy Director, ICDS, Akansha Aggarwal chief probation officer Mahila Kalyaan, Wg. Cdr. (Dr) Anil Tiwari, Deputy Pro VC Amity University Lucknow, Prof (Dr.) Manju Agarwal, Dean Student Welfare, Amity University and Brig. U.K. Chopra, Director AIIT & Chairman Unnati Community Service Club ware participated the event as expert and speaker.
Ms. Anjali Singh, Manager, Bal Raksha Bharat welcomed the gathering and briefed about the welfare of children and sensitized the students at the university to help drive change in children’s lives.
Addressing the students Wg. Cdr. (Dr) Anil Tiwari highlighted the Role of Youth in Social Change and appreciated such platforms where academic institutions can sensitize the young students jointly with NGOs.
Dr. Debjani Barman, Manager, Research, Bal Raksha Bharat given a presentation on the key findings on The Rights and Agency of Children in India (TRAC 2022) report.
During the Panel discussions topics “The India we want and our Right to be Heard” and “Mental Health and wellbeing of children” ware discussed.
A short film on Child Rights Knowledge Platform was also showcased at the event. More than 250 Students of various departments from Amity University participated in this programme.
