Visakhapatnam, 23 November 2025 — The NCC Group Visakhapatnam illuminated the city’s commitment to youth leadership and national character with the triumphant organisation of Visakha Tarang 2025 at the Convention Hall, Andhra University. Held as a vibrant part of the annual NCC Day celebrations, the event was a powerful showcase of the cadets’ discipline, diverse talent, and profound patriotic spirit.
The event was honoured by Prof. G. P. Rajasekhar, Vice-Chancellor, Andhra University, who presided as the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated the cadets and expressed appreciation for the professionalism on display. He also conveyed his keen interest in forging future partnerships between Andhra University, NCC, and the Indian Navy, emphasizing the value such collaborations would bring to youth leadership and experiential learning.
Vice Admiral Susheel Menon, VSM, Chief of Staff, HQ Eastern Naval Command, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. He reminisced about his own NCC journey and stated that he had never ever witnessed such a spectacular, inspiring and flawlessly executed NCC showcase. He said he was deeply thrilled by the motivation and drive of the cadets and lauded NCC Group Visakhapatnam for delivering an event of extraordinary quality and impact.
A curated presentation by over 200 NCC cadets featured cultural performances, precision drill, and thematic showcases. One of the most thrilling highlights was a breathtaking human pyramid formation. This rigorous feat perfectly demonstrated the cadets’ discipline, synchronisation, and energy, drawing repeated applause from the audience of over 1100.
The cadets offered compelling thematic showcases and awareness segments underscoring their national commitment. This vibrant tableau, featuring cadets in traditional and NCC attire saluting the nation against a stunning backdrop featuring the map of India, powerfully reinforced the event’s patriotic spirit.
The evening’s presentation was a rich cultural tapestry. This vibrant segment showcased a dynamic classical dance performance, adding an artistic and spiritual depth to the proceedings and highlighting the diverse talents of the cadets.Conclusion: Visakha Tarang 2025 concluded on a memorable note, further strengthening NCC Group Visakhapatnam’s legacy of youth leadership, national character, and community engagement.
