..Alumni batch of 1994–2001 gifts monument during Silver Jubilee celebrations…
IMPHAL, 16 May : : — A bronze bust of Captain Vikram Batra, Param Vir Chakra (PVC), was unveiled at Sainik School Imphal on Friday.
The ceremony coincided with the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the “23rd Souls,” the school’s alumni batch of 1994–2001.
Funded and gifted entirely by the batch, the monument was presented to the school as a permanent tribute to the Kargil War hero and as a symbol of patriotism for future cadets.
School authorities and a large number of “23rd Souls” alumni attended the event to mark 25 years since their batch passed out.
Speaking at the function, alumni representatives said Capt. Batra’s sacrifice and his battle cry, _“Yeh Dil Maange More,”_ continue to inspire youth across the country. They added that placing the bust at the heart of the campus was meant to instill values of selfless service, courage, and dedication among cadets.
The officiating Principal thanked the 23rd Souls batch, stating that the monument would strengthen the school’s military ethos and legacy.
